Slate & Stylish: Organization and Design is a business that has come from years of planning, studying and manifesting a dream!

As a little girl, placing items in my room perfectly and neatly was actually fun for me! I know, what a weird kid! But i’ve always found joy in a peacefully organized life.

As a teacher and disability advocate for over 15 years, I found success and joy in my careee, but the idea for my business always lingering in my heart.

I’m now a wife to the most handsome EMT and Army soldier, And mom

to the funniest, smartest, most beautiful little girl.

I know the challenges of balancing family life, a career, and a home can be overwhelming, but when done right can change everything.

About our Business Name

The name of my business holds a lot of meaning for me. A slate and stylus are tools used for blind people to write braille, sort of a pencil and paper for the blind. I was born blind myself, but sadly didn’t learn to read and write Braille until I graduated from college. Once I learned it, my world opened up!

I have since become a lifelong advocate for the promotion of Braille. So what better way to combine two of my favorite things (Braille and Organization) than to make my business match these passions!
